Ossia Music School Student Policy

1. School Fees
Tuition fees are charged monthly at the beginning of each month and cover a total of four (4) lessons. Payment will be auto deducted from your account monthly through Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit cards. Under normal circumstances, monthly tuition fees would cover your course description whether it be 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons. Lessons in the 5th week will auto-schedule any outstanding make-up credits in your account. If there is no outstanding make-up or pre-make ups arranged, the 5th lesson will be automatically billed to your account 7 days prior to the 5th lesson day (once billed, any cancellations of this lesson will be considered a makeup).
Additionally, a non-refundable registration fee of $39 is required for all new students.

2. Security Deposit

Ossia Music School will collect a security deposit equivalent of one month’s school fees at the point of registration. Ossia requires one month or 30-day advanced notice for termination of lessons, with the security deposit applied to the upcoming final 4 lessons. Should lessons be terminated without a 30-day advanced notice, the security deposit will be forfeited.

3. Missed Lessons
Students are required to provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel a lesson. If a student notifies within 24 hours of the lesson, it will be considered a missed lesson without eligibility for replacement, unless a medical certificate (MC) is provided or a written letter from their school justifying the absence. Missed lessons without the required notice or valid documentation will not be rescheduled or refunded. To ensure the same lesson time and teacher while you are absent, your fees for the respective month(s) must be paid in full.

4. Student Absence Policy
Tuition fees will be due as per normal, regardless of scheduling changes. For extended periods of absence and advanced scheduling changes, Ossia Music school will arrange replacement lessons either before or after the period of absence. All efforts will be made to ensure that the student receives their entitled makeup lessons with their respective teacher. Compliance with our Student Absence Policy allows the student to guarantee their time slot, and their respective teacher during periods of extended absence.

5. Termination
Ossia Music School reserves the right to dismiss any student due to frequent absences, disciplinary reasons, overdue tuition payments or parental non-compliance with policies and procedures listed here. Should a student wish to terminate his or her lessons, Ossia Music School must be given 30-day notice via email to your centre, or the deposit is forfeited. Informing an instructor of intent to withdraw, or not attending classes, does not constitute withdrawal from lessons.

6. Public Holidays and Annual Leave
There will be no lessons conducted on public holidays unless informed by the school. If your lesson falls on a public holiday, the lesson will be cancelled and added to your account as a make-up credit. Should the teacher take annual leave, lessons will be made up either before or after the leave period using the standard make-up lesson policy.

7. Punctuality
Students must make the effort to come on time for their lessons. There will not be any make up for any time lost. Strict punctuality is also expected of the instructor, however, should the instructor be late, time will be made up accordingly.

8. Personal Property
Ossia Music School does not assume any responsibility for personal property (including, but not limited to clothing, cameras, cell phones, purses, wallets, vehicles, etc.) lost, damaged or left unattended on school premises and in common areas. In the event any of Ossia Music School’s materials or goods are damaged by the student, the student/- family is responsible for full replacement. If replacement is not made, then the remaining lessons for the month and deposit are forfeited.

9. Refunds
Ossia Music School has a strict no-refund policy. Should you pay for the lessons and terminate within the same month, you are entitled to the remaining lessons but there will not be any refund.

10. Official Matters
All official matters regarding questions, comments, or concerns are to be communicated directly with the Administrative Office. Should there be any issues, it is best to communicate to your centre through email or by phone. The Company reserves the right, at its discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these student policies at any time by posting the amended Terms. Your continued enrolment in Ossia Music School constitutes your binding acceptance of such changes to our student policies. Please check these Terms periodically for changes.

11. Liability
By enrolling with Ossia Music School, the customer and all associated parties waive any responsibility for illness, personal injury, or death anywhere in the premises of Ossia Music School Pte. Ltd. or Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. (parent company) facilities. Ossia Music School Pte. Ltd. and Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. or any associated parties are not responsible for any of the above-mentioned nor damage of personal goods.

12. Personal Data
By signing this document, you hereby agree that Ossia Music School Pte. Ltd. and Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. (or any subsidiary of Aureus Group) may collect, obtain, store and process your personal data that you provide in this form for the purpose of considering your feedback as described in this Form and/or for receiving updates, news, promotion- al and marketing mails or materials from Aureus Group Pte. Ltd and any of its subsidiaries.

You hereby give your consent to the Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. and/or the Ossia Music School Pte. Ltd. to:
I. Store and process your Personal Data;
II. Use provided Personal Data for the purposes of marketing, promotion, and updates.

In addition, your personal data may be transferred to any company within the Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. For the purpose of updating or correcting such data, you may at any time apply to the Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. to have access to your personal data which are stored by the company. Also, Aureus Group Pte. Ltd. may use any photos or videos taken for marketing purposes which include Facebook, Newsletters, Website, brochures, and other mediums of marketing communication.

For the avoidance of doubt, Personal Data includes all data defined within the Personal Data Protection Act (2012) including all data you have disclosed to the Company.

Current Promotional Terms & Conditions

New Year, New Savings 2024

1.  Student(s) must signup as a regular student at Ossia Music School to qualify for the promotion. 

2.  A minimum of three (3) months’ commitment is required to qualify for the promotion. 

3.  Enrolment must be completed on the same day as the trial lesson to be entitled to this promotion. 

4.  Upon enrolment, payment for the first three months is due in full. This includes a 1-month deposit, the first- and second- month lesson fees, and a registration fee of $39.00. 

5.  Complimentary lessons cannot be used to offset school fees at any point in time. 

6.  We have a strict no-refund policy. 

7.  Make up lessons: Students are entitled to make-up lessons with a minimum of 24 hours’ cancellation notice or if an MC is provided. There will be no refund for lesson cancellations. 

8.  Change of instructor: Should an instructor leave due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be a replacement teacher to take over the lessons. There will be no refund due to a change of instructor. 

9.  Relocation: We recognize that customers may not always have control over this situation. Students are welcome to transfer to one of the nearest Ossia Branches or opt for virtual lessons to ensure that the remaining lessons are not forfeited. 

10.   Change of instrument/ lesson advancement: For lesson advancements, customers will just have to pay the deposit top- up and the differences in lesson fees for the remaining months. As this is a promotional package, there will be no refund or the downgrading of lessons.
